• You'll probably discuss and agree the above issues (and others) by email or by phone but, once you've reached agreement, you might find it useful to exchange a written agreement that is signed by you both.

• Travel costs, for example airline tickets, are often non-refundable so it is advisable not to go ahead with these until you are sure that you have a firm swap agreement in place. When you both agree to go ahead and make travel arrangements, you may like to exchange copies of tickets etc as additional reassurance.
